I'm going with you next time. We'll make a fear and loathing weekend out of it. I miss Vegas, and chicken and waffles, which are virtually impossible to find in Canada.
An early drive-in experience for me happened in 1973. The Thunderbird Drive-In (I think they had at least four screens) in Ft. Lauderdale. My brother took a friend and me to see the Goddess, Pam Grier in "Coffy". We were much too young to get in legally, so we hid in the back seat under bags of concrete to enter. Needless to say, that movie (& the drive-in) was a life changing experience.

You're on, Ian!
In my mind this was narrated by Hunter S Thompson. Or maybe it was Raoul Duke?
Duke, plus a little Dr. Gonzo, for sure. : )
I think there’s a capriotti’s there also? Not Gino’s or Pats, but still pretty damn good! Go Phils 👍🏻
Whoa, I didn't know that! I'll have to check next time.
Man, this sounds like a dream road trip...
If you have horror movie nerd dreams, then.... yes! Absolutely.
Also, huge thanks to my friend Lisa Morton for inspiring the title of this mutli-part travelogue.
Thank you for this! Those fries do look tasty.

Oh man! That sounds like one hell of a night.
Such a great newsletter. I LOVE Vegas and now I know where I’m staying next time.
It's not the fanciest joint, but I love its seedy charms. If you do go, opt for the "Original 47" rooms.
Sounds like a good time. Looking forward to part two
